Toto Site Found Fails the Test of a Top Website Ranking Site

For the past decade, the best known directory marketing has been Toto Site Found. Since it's early days, it's generated a lot of interest from webmasters and marketers alike due to its steady rise in traffic, listings and ability to close sales.

After years of dealing with Google's search engine optimization, I've noticed Toto Site Found is not doing as well as many other pay per click directories. Often you'll hear stories about sites they were featured on not generating a lot of traffic. It seems, for the most part, it's the same story with the Toto Site Found.

While these sites are popular with a lot of marketers, I recently visited one of them to see how they were doing. Apparently, a couple weeks before they were featured, the marketer had been warned that they were advertising to a high-paying group of prospects.

The same savvy consumer would also see how much a small business website costs and click on a link to see how much a product like this can cost. In other words, Toto Site Found is trying to tap a new market, but they're missing the mark with their placement.

These listings don't seem to generate a lot of profit for their owners, so they have no motivation to improve their listings. If you visit the site and look at the sites where they are listed, you will see that it's quite difficult to reach the top 10.

If you really want to see what's available, you can even "search" by state or zip code, and see if any sites appear to be the top ten listing. If they don't, there could be some problems with the search engine optimization.

To me, the most troubling thing about Toto Site Found is that the people who created the site are unwilling to fix the issues that are really bugging the marketer. Some of the websites listed here are often listed in the same category because there is a very low traffic there.
